I was born in Santa Barbara and moved to Iceland shortly after that, where I lived for the first years of my life. My family moved back to the US and I did most of my growing up in San Jose.
Growing up in Silicon Valley, most people work in technology, including my dad, so it’s not hard to understand why I feel such a connection and interest in the world of tech. I attended Leigh High School in San Jose, and started rowing for the Los Gatos Rowing Club mid-Sophomore year, which led me to UC Berkeley to row on their team.
I rowed for Cal for 4 years, winning a National Championship in the 3rd Varsity as well as a number of Pac-12 and National medals in the JV. I graduated in December 2014 with a double major in Political Economy and Legal Studies, and joined SPMB directly after that, to work for Team Barry and Team Dempsey.
What are your favorite books/movies?
Workaholics is my favorite TV show, for sure. Comedy Central, if Ders ever needs a stand-in hit me up on my Myspace.
Where have you traveled and where would you still like to go?
Growing up my family travelled pretty extensively around Europe, since we had family in Iceland, Switzerland, Belgium, and Sweden. I couldn’t go with them on the Sweden trip, but I always wish I could have spent some time in Sweden. I would also love to visit some of the countries in Western Europe that I haven’t been to (or don’t remember well), like Germany, Denmark, and Norway.
What character in Game of Thrones are you most like?
I’d really like to say The Mountain, although I’m just a tiny bit smaller and a lot less murder-y.
Which band would you love to tour with?
Does Kanye count as a band? Because I’d love to tour with Kanye, I think I could do a good job as his hype man.
Which three words would you use to describe yourself?
Hard-working, alpha-male, jackhammer. Merciless. Insatiable. And clearly a lot like Dwight Schrute.
