Jessica joined Kevin Barry’s team at SPMB in September 2016! Prior to joining SPMB, Jessica completed her Master’s Degree in East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at Georgetown University and before that completed her Bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley in Modern European History. Jessica is originally from Southern California and in her spare time loves to cook, play guitar and watch Russian films.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about rock climbing, it’s one of my favorite things to do. I also love to backpack, and have traveled different parts of the Pacific Crest Trail. One of my goals is to learn to lead climb.
Where have you traveled, and where would you still like to go?
I’ve traveled around Western Europe, to Lebanon, and through Russia and Armenia. I also have traveled through most of the US when my family would pack my three siblings and I into an RV for the summer. My travel goals are to one day visit Lake Baikal in Russia.
What are your favorite books/movies?
My favorite books are Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. My favorite movies are The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (remake), Argo, and Chocolat.
