While at GW, Katherine helped lead GW’s Freshman Day of Service and spent a semester doing research in child education for a non-profit. Prior to GW, she spent over 100 hours working at SF’s Tenderloin Child Care Center, restored coastlines with the indigenous population in Hawaii, and helped build homes in rural communities in Peru.
After taking a few months to travel in Australia and New Zealand post-graduation, Katherine spent some time with a health care startup based in L.A before joining SPMB as an Analyst. Katherine grew up down the street from SPMB and was happy to get back to her roots in San Francisco. Previous working experience includes three internships: two at health care startups and one in Edelman’s technology department.
Where have you traveled and where would you still like to go?
The list is long on both sides. It doesn’t get much better than Lake Tahoe but there are a number of ski trips I’m dying to take. Whistler, Patagonia and Japan, to name a few.
Who would you trade places with for one month?
The guys on Top Gear have a pretty sweet job. They get to travel around the world driving different kinds of cars, really fast. Sign me up!
What sports star would you most like to meet?
Serena Williams. I know the courts where she practices in SF (I learned how to play on the same ones). This could happen.
