Alice joined SPMB as the first analyst on Suzanne Heske’s team in August 2019. She graduated in June 2019 from Northwestern University, where she studied Communications and Asian American Studies. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Alice is thrilled to be back in the Bay Area! Aside from executive search, she’d be happy to extensively discuss badminton, which she has played for 8 years and enthusiastically follows, and skincare—specifically, the importance of wearing sunscreen every day.
Where have you traveled and where would you still like to go?
I’ve been privileged enough to travel to many Asian and European countries, the most recent being Spain (Seville was breathtaking!) and Ireland, and I also go back to China every year to see my extended family. The top of my travel bucket list right now includes South Korea, Egypt, and Peru.
What sports star would you most like to meet?
Lee Chong Wei. Not only is he a legend in the badminton world, but he has also served as an inspiration and hero to Malaysia.
What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
My parents once forced me to go on a 9-day backpacking trip in Yosemite that covered almost 60 miles. I had no true hiking, camping, or backpacking experience at the time, so you can imagine how that went.
