Where have you travelled and where would you still like to go?
I grew up spending my summers in Japan to visit family, so there are lots of places I still have yet to see. Europe is at the top of my list, with Australia and New Zealand coming in as a close second.
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
A few years ago I tore my ACL and meniscus in a scrimmage, and couldn’t walk for six weeks after surgery. My muscles had atrophied so much that I had to relearn how to walk, and after six months, how to run. After a year, I could finally go back on the court.
What sports star would you most like to meet?
Kawhi Leonard. I was a fan during his SDSU days, and his reserved nature has always been intriguing to me. It’d be interesting to see what he’s like when he opens up and pick his brain a little bit.
Who would you trade places with for one month?
Anyone who can sing! With my quiet voice, I can only imagine how great it feels to belt out a ballad and have it sound powerful and effortless.
