Jon is a Partner at SPMB, Co-Lead of SPMB’s Private Equity CEO Practice, and Founder of the firm’s Colorado office. He is a seasoned executive recruiter and global talent acquisition leader with more than 25 years of experience. Jon specializes in recruiting world-class CEOs and all direct reports through the S/VP level for growth equity- and private equity-backed software and tech-enabled services companies nationwide.

Jon’s cross-functional recruiting expertise has earned him a reputation as a trusted long-term advisor with a proven ability to build high-performing executive teams. His placements span Go-to-Market leadership (CRO, CMO, and Customer Success), Product Development (CTO and CPO), and G&A executives (CFO and CHRO). As his clients grow and mature, Jon helps them add complementary leaders with the experience required for each stage of the journey, often building out entire executive teams over the course of a long-term partnership.

For nearly 15 years, Jon has advised investors, boards, and management teams on executive leadership hiring. Prior to joining SPMB, he was the Global Recruitment leader for two of Colorado’s top technology companies, Webroot (acquired) and Rally Software (IPO, acquired). His career has combined recruitment strategy development with hands-on execution for high-growth technology companies, helping organizations scale and navigate leadership transformations globally.

Jon holds a BA from Franklin & Marshall College and an MS in Petroleum Geology from the University of Colorado Boulder. When he’s not placing top talent, Jon enjoys trail running, CrossFit, skiing, and spending time with his family.
