Jake prides himself on being a “bloodhound” within Executive Search, possessing an unparalleled knack to get to and connect with top-tier candidates across a myriad of industries. Much like the great Sherlock Holmes, Jake has proven time and again that no functional role is beyond his investigative interest and prowess — instead it’s what keeps him most energized and engaged.
As a search generalist, Jake views executive recruiting as a holistic endeavor that often extends beyond the confines of specialization. His experience and completion of hundreds of searches spans a wide spectrum of company/ product domains, including PLG, media & entertainment, consumer, fintech, B2B enterprise, security, GRC, martech, healthtech, AI, SMB, retail, insurtech, ERP, big data, and beyond. From a functional perspective, he has worked on every type of C-level and VP search from CEO, GM, COO, GTM, finance, engineering, product, IT, strategy, post sales, and operations for B2B SaaS and consumer led companies.
Jake’s generalist approach enables him to offer his clients a panoramic perspective of their search — oftentimes, more so than if he was a pure specialist. Having worked on virtually every type of functional search across different sized companies (Series A to Public), Jake excels at piecing together clues and posing insightful questions to uncover what both clients and candidates truly want and need — a skill set that, in turn, drives successful outcomes for his clients.
Outside of work, Jake serves as president of the Denver Athletic Club’s Young Professional group. Jake graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. in Media Communications and carries a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter certification and a professional certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School Online.
