Stein Joins SPMB’s Fastest-Growing Practice to Address Client Demands and Position the Company for Aggressive Growth in Consumer/Digital Markets
SAN FRANCISCO – August 26, 2015 – SPMB, one of the largest independent executive search firms in the country, today announced that former Korn Ferry Senior Client Partner Becky Stein has joined the company as Partner, focusing on the consumer and digital markets. Stein brings significant experience to the fast-growing consumer practice, which includes clients such as Airbnb, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Capital One, Comcast, Fitbit, Lending Club, Lynda.com, and Rent the Runway.
SPMB holds a dominant position in the technology and sustainability sectors and, with the addition of Stein, is now well positioned to respond to the explosive demand from clients in consumer markets. Together with SPMB Partner Nicole North, Stein will focus on deepening SPMB’s existing relationships with consumer technology and retail companies, as well as growing the practice into digital markets.

Stein has played a prominent role since the late 1990s in guiding companies to hire the talent needed for success in the digital era. She joins SPMB from Korn Ferry, a leading global talent management firm, where she co-founded the firm’s digital practice and led its digital commerce sector. Previously, Stein was Managing Director of global executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates, where she served as head of the firm’s consumer sector for the Americas.

Outside of her business career, Stein is an ultra runner and endurance athlete. She has completed multiple Ironmans, and is a veteran participant of the 4 Deserts Race Series, which is widely recognized as the most prestigious outdoor footrace series in the world. She has competed in their 250k races through the Gobi Desert in China and the Atacama Desert in Chile, and is currently training for the upcoming race in Sri Lanka.
