Christy is a Partner at SPMB and a member of the firm’s Financial Officer and Private Equity Practices.

He specializes in recruiting Chief Financial Officers and senior finance leaders for growth equity- and venture-backed technology companies. A trusted partner to leading private equity and growth equity investors, including Silver Lake, Insight Partners, Five Elms Capital, and Blue Star Innovation, Christy helps firms build and scale finance organizations across their portfolios. Over the course of his career, he has led hundreds of CFO and senior finance executive searches, partnering with companies navigating rapid scale, operational complexity, and transformative growth.

Prior to joining SPMB, Christy co-led the Tech Financial Officer Center of Excellence at JM Search. Before that, he spent eight years at True Search, where he led CFO searches for venture, private equity, and growth equity-backed software businesses and helped launch the firm’s Private Equity Practice. He began his search career at Howard Fischer Associates, focusing on financial leadership within the technology sector.

Christy holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and is based in Boston, serving clients across the country. Outside of work, he is an avid boxer and marathon runner who enjoys traveling with his wife, daughters, and two dogs.
