Veteran CFO Search Leader Strengthens SPMB’s Financial Officer and Private Equity Practices
July 2026 — SPMB Executive Search is pleased to welcome Christy Mihos as a Partner, joining the firm’s Financial Officer and Private Equity Practices.
Christy specializes in recruiting Chief Financial Officers and senior finance leaders for private equity, growth equity, and venture-backed technology companies. A long-time trusted advisor to investors and management teams alike, he brings deep fluency in what private equity sponsors demand from their portfolio finance leaders—and the judgment and network to find them.
“Christy is one of the most accomplished CFO search practitioners in the market, and we are thrilled to welcome him to SPMB,” said Dave Mullarkey, Managing Partner at SPMB. “His track record of advising PE firms and technology companies on the most consequential financial leadership hires is remarkable. But what sets Christy apart – and what makes him such a natural fit for this firm – is how he operates: with deep client commitment, genuine long-term relationships, and an intensity for outcomes that reflects exactly who we are at SPMB. We look forward to the impact he will have for our clients.”
Prior to joining SPMB, Christy co-led the Tech Financial Officer Center of Excellence at JM Search. Before that, he spent eight years at True Search, where he led CFO searches for venture, private equity, and growth equity-backed software businesses and helped launch the firm’s Private Equity Practice. He began his search career at Howard Fischer Associates, focusing on financial leadership within the technology sector.
“SPMB has built an extraordinary reputation for helping innovative companies build exceptional leadership teams and world-class finance organizations,” said Christy Mihos. “What drew me here is the firm’s genuine depth in both financial officer search and the private equity ecosystem, and a team that brings the same rigor, long-term partnerships, and commitment to outcomes that I’ve built my career around. I’m excited to get to work.”
Please join us in welcoming Christy to SPMB.
