Emily joined SPMB in 2022 to support Managing Partner Kevin Barry’s practice and continue to build SPMB’s presence in New York. Her functional expertise is in CEO, President and GTM Leadership roles and she has partnered with clients ranging from early stage, VC-backed startups to public companies.
Prior to SPMB, Emily spent 4 years at Betts Recruiting in San Francisco where she focused on helping B2B SaaS clients such as MuleSoft, Segment, 6Sense, Harness and Samsara scale their early sales teams. 2 years into her tenure, Emily was tapped to run the San Francisco sales recruiting team, the largest revenue-generating team at the company.
After recruiting 500+ SaaS sales reps, Emily decided to move into selling software herself. She was an integral part of two startups (Pave and Welcome), helping them scale from $0-10M as an early sales hire. Ultimately, she missed recruiting and joined several of her ex-Betts colleagues at SPMB.
A lifelong Wahoo, Emily earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where she studied Foreign Affairs and was a member of the Varsity Coed Cheerleading team and nationally ranked Club Tennis Team. In her free time, she loves traveling, snowboarding, writing and trying as many new restaurants as possible in New York.
