Mike leads the firm’s Digital Transformation and Data practice and has successfully executed over 350 C-level and VP searches across all market verticals. Over the past 2 decades, he has earned a reputation as a strategic partner and leadership architect, helping his clients build executive teams that bridge the gap between innovation and scale. Mike enables innovative pure-play technology companies such as Google/Cloud and Amazon/AWS to achieve scale by recruiting senior leaders that have been through large, complex growth scenarios. He also works closely with large incumbents such as Disney Streaming, Comcast, Capital One and Under Armour to evolve their technology, IT, product, data, security and digital capabilities.
Given his background in investment banking, Mike was recruited by SPMB in 2004 to instill rigor into the firm’s research and sourcing processes and to help evolve its business model. This meant reimaging, redeveloping, and implementing an entirely new search strategy — one that SPMB still employs today. Since then, SPMB has experienced 17 years of consistent, national and global growth.
Clients recognize Mike’s acute attention to detail and thoroughness — and his obsession with helping them achieve success in and outside of recruiting. Candidates listen to Mike because he can walk through a variety of industries, helping them see the “big picture” while clearly articulating a roadmap to success for his clients.
Before joining SPMB, Mike was at Standard & Poors, focusing on Applied Analytics and M&A transactions in the technology market. Clients included Adobe, Dolby, Excite, HP and VeriSign. Prior, he worked on the Equity Capital Markets desk of Solomon Smith Barney in NYC, helping to bring the world’s most promising technology companies into the public markets.
Graduating from Georgetown University with honors, Mike received a dual degree in Advanced Finance and New & Small Business Management.
