Scott joined SPMB in 2016 to help expand the firm’s rapidly growing Consumer Practice. Scott spent a number of years helping clients develop innovative and bleeding-edge digital businesses through talent acquisition searches for a broad swath of consumer oriented companies. Around the onset of the COVID breakout, Scott joined Steve Popper, who he had been close with for years, to help run the rapidly growing Finance Practice. To date the two have worked on searches ranging from CFO searches of massive multinational gaming businesses to Investor Relations searches for FinTech companies on the doorstep of IPO.
Outside of the office, Scott enjoys being outdoors and you will generally find him on a frigid Tahoe mountain skiing, on a basketball court trying, or out on a long walk with his 80-pound best friend, the German Shepherd, Scout. He also enjoys reading, international travel and laughing with friends and family.
Prior to SPMB, Scott spent time starting and operating his own fitness business (Skenfit), and was a 4-year NCAA Rower at UC San Diego, two years of which as team captain. Scott holds a B.S. in Management Science, a micro-economics, econometrics, and calculus degree from UCSD.

Who would you trade places with for one month?
I would trade places with a cross ocean sailor. I love the ocean and the sense of quiet isolation, but I could only do such a thing for about a month.
Which band would you love to tour with?
Daft Punk, because they tour extremely infrequently and when they do, they bring their families and it is generally a relatively quiet affair, which sounds nice. Their music is also very good.
What are your favorite books/movies?
My favorite book series are The Game of Thrones and Harry Potter on the fiction side. As far as nonfiction goes, the type of book I read the most, I tend to read a lot of economic and psychological theory books, especially books like Freakonomics, The Tipping Point, David and Goliath, and other similar titles. My favorite movie is Remember the Titans, but I am not picky with movies and will watch pretty much any genre.
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Out-going, Creative, Joker… Rule Breaker!
