With over three decades in Executive Search, Todd has led more than 1,000 executive searches across North America, Europe, and Asia. As a Senior Partner at SPMB, he leads the firm’s Innovation & Sustainability Practice and co-leads the CEO Practice.

Todd specializes in recruiting CEO, CRO, CMO, CFO, Operations, and Supply Chain leaders for disruptive companies across the spectrum of scale—from venture-backed startups and private equity portfolio companies to Fortune 500 global enterprises. His purpose-driven clients are reshaping industries through the introduction of disruptive technologies that create efficiencies at scale. Todd’s personal mission is to recruit the very best leaders to solve some of the world’s most challenging problems that deliver a capital return and make the planet a better place.

For the past 20 years, Todd has been a trusted advisor to the investors and pioneers of the sustainability movement—building leadership teams at many of the world’s most prominent solar, storage, energy efficiency and clean energy companies. That work laid the foundation for his expanded focus today: partnering with companies at the forefront of AI, mobility, robotics, and autonomy to scale their impact through transformative leadership.

Originally from Rhode Island, Todd earned a BS in Chemistry from Fairfield University, a foundation that supported his early career with GE selling to industrial clients—and continues to inform the technical depth he brings to conversations with CEOs, Investors, and C-level executives today.

Outside of work, Todd is a passionate endurance athlete and outdoor adventurer. He’s completed some of the world’s most iconic and challenging races—including the Boston and New York City Marathons, Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, the Japan Ironman, and the Ironman World Championship in Kona. He’s also an avid skier, mountain biker, trail runner, and yoga practitioner. Todd has a teenage daughter, is a longtime resident of San Francisco, and can often be found in the mountains of Lake Tahoe.

What Sports Star would you most like to meet?
2016 has been the year for meeting the NBA’s MVP’s in the spring I met Steph Curry and a month later Kevin Durant…who did ask what life was like in San Francisco…while I’m not taking credit for Durant’s signing with the Warriors…I did use my subtle powers of persuasion.

What is the hardest thing you have ever done:
I love new challenges whether it was going under 10 hours in an Ironman and racing the championships in Hawaii, running a sub 3 hour Boston Marathon in my 40’s, taking on crossfit, playing Division 1 tennis, or my more recent exploration of yoga. Each has started with finding amazing teachers and community, being humble and learning through failure, enjoying the process, celebrating successes and having the passion and commitment to achieve the goals I have set.

What is the most non traditional job you have had?
During college I worked on Martha’s Vineyard and literally ran from job to job which included shucking oysters at a raw bar, cooking lobsters, night watchman, home construction, lawnmower man and waiter.
